Equipment used in the laboratory's experimental work.

A wick-fed laminar diffusion flame burner used to measure smoke point and to generate and collect soot for nanostructural and compositional characterisation. Sample collection is by a metallic cartridge fitted with a microfibre filter, positioned above the flame on an adjustable stand.

A multi-line gas-mixing and blending column with individual mass-flow regulation on each feed, used to prepare controlled hydrogen and natural-gas mixtures for pipeline blending and combustion studies.

A packed adsorption column with distributed thermocouples and pressure monitoring, used to study gas-phase adsorption and separation, including acid gas removal.
A horizontal tube furnace for controlled-atmosphere heating and pyrolysis experiments, used in the thermal decomposition and reaction kinetics studies carried out by the group.
A ducted fume hood providing local exhaust ventilation for handling reactive gases and chemicals safely during sample preparation.
